This Saturday, February 19, 2022, the Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the pandemic in the country, which accounts for 4,498 new cases and 127 deaths.
In addition, it registered that 20,137 tests were processed (10,567 for PCR and 9,570 for antigens).
These figures reflect a decrease in cases of contagion in recent days. In fact, the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, assured that Colombia, the fourth peak, is already declining in terms of cases, “but surely only until the third week of March will we be reaching the minimum level.”
In the country, to date, 32,922,807 tests have been processed. Thus, Colombia reaches 6,043,661 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, in March 2020.
On the other hand, the report accounts for 127 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total death toll in Colombia amounts to 137,996.
In the last 24 hours, in addition, 4,601 recovered patients were reported. Thus, there are already 5,861,641 patients who have overcome covid-19 in the country to date.
In total, there are 22,821 cases that remain active in Colombia.
