The secretary of Coexistence and Citizen Security of Valle del Cauca, Camilo Murcia, stated that “all the security devices for the electoral calendar have been installed in the department of Valle del Cauca”.

The official led the fifth and last Electoral Monitoring Commission in the region.
“This week we successfully completed our electoral monitoring commissions and coordinated preventive actions in the 42 municipalities. We have also accompanied the political movements in their meetings with the community and they have been able to proselytize without setbacks. And most importantly, our security forces continue with their deployment in the region so that the electoral exercise can be carried out without difficulties,” said Murcia.
The departmental administration monitoring commissions in Buenaventura, Florida, Cali, Tuluá and Cartago, where the security devices were designed, in alliance with the public force and the municipal and electoral authorities, for these five sub-regions of the department.

It is a joint effort between the Government and the National Registry.
According to the Registrar’s Office, in Valle del Cauca there are 1,082 voting stations set up at 10,796 tables for voting on presidential coalitions and for the House and Senate. The electoral potential is close to 4 million voters.
