On the night of Saturday, February 12, it was recorded a shooting in the center of the municipality of San Vicente del Caguánan event that left a minor dead, a policeman, a soldier and an escort from the National Protection Unit (UNP) were injured, according to local media based on information provided by the National Police.
According to what has been said, police agents requested some individuals after receiving information about some suspects in the municipality, at that moment, the subjects opened fire.
After the event, a man was captured by the authorities and, upon verifying his identity, they confirmed that he was a reincorporated member of the Farc who works as an escort for the ETCR (Territorial Spaces for Training and Reincorporation) of Miravalle.
Another escort was identified later, when he attended the municipal hospital after being injured in the shooting.
It is still waiting for the authorities to clarify the facts and the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate what happened that night.
