The Mobility Secretariat of Cali extended until tomorrow, Friday, the deadline to cancel the congestion charge tax to be able to access the benefit of transiting with the measure of peak and plate.

The Secretary of Mobility of Cali, William Vallejo, affirmed that the extension of the term is due to the fact that the payment receipts came out on February 25, with a maximum date that same day, for which many people could not cancel it.
“A confusion has arisen in the users due to the cancellation date of the congestion charge tax, in order to access the benefit of transiting with the peak and license plate measure. We want to remind citizens that this payment must be made, in addition to late, the penultimate day of the month. In February, that day corresponded to the 25th, which is why the certificates or receipts that were issued through the page where this fee is settled, came out with a maximum date of the 25th. However, we have a large number of people who could not make the payment and, therefore, it has been enabled that the cancellation can be made until March 4,” Vallejo explained.
The congestion charge tax has a value of $167,420, each month.

On the other hand, the Secretary of Mobility of Cali stressed that hybrid or electric vehicles are exempt from paying the congestion charge. “Among the exempt are electric vehicles and hybrid types with diesel or gasoline fuel,” he said.
