The balance of passengers leaving the Bucaramanga transport terminal on the first day of the ELN’s armed strike is negative.

Nelson Gómez, operational director of the Transport Terminal, assured that there was a decrease 40% of passenger mobilization on Wednesday, February 23.

While on Tuesday, February 22, 585 buses were dispatched, on Wednesday, February 23, only 433 left.
“People are afraid to travel and they cancel their trips, so we don’t dispatch all the vehicles,” Gómez said.
5,240 tickets traveled on Tuesday 22 while 3,423 traveled on Wednesday from Bucaramanga.
According to Gómez’s report, the destinations to which people are traveling less are: Cúcuta, the coast and Arauca, to this last destination they are not dispatching buses by decision of the Terminal.
Dispatches canceled in Cali
The Cali Transportation Terminal announced the suspension of bus services that go to the south of the country with connections to Cauca and Nariño.
The notice is given for reasons of public disorder, after some men incinerated a food transport vehicle, on the Pan-American highway between Popayán and Cali. In addition to the possible start of an armed parade decreed by the National Liberation Army (ELN).
So far, among the companies that stopped the dispatch of tickets to the south are:
– Velotax (no shipments to Popayán)
– Supertaxis (only one office at 08:00 am)
– Tejada port transportation (single dispatch to Santander)
– Tax Belalcazar (no offices to the south)
– Bolivarian (without dispatches to the south)
– Contract (without office)
