The authorities of Medellin confirmed the death of a foreign citizen of Canadian nationality in a hotel in the capital of Antioquia this Friday, February 11.
According to the police report, the man’s lifeless body was found by staff at the hotel where he was staying.
Said information reveals that the victim had stayed at the hotel the day before the death, he did so alone and remained so throughout the stay.
“Upon arrival at the scene of the events, the information is verified where communication is taken with the hotel receptionist who stated that she received service at 6 pm and who said that during the course of the night this person leaves the room on several occasions, apparently to buy intoxicating drinks”, says the report.

Around 4 in the morning, the hotel worker indicated that she heard a noise in the room and after going to verify found the man lying on the floorso he immediately called for help from the sector patrol.
The preliminary report of the authorities revealed that the victim does not show signs of violence and “it was possible to observe at the scene that this person possibly breathed in, due to the way the body is found.”
The incident is under investigation to determine the cause of death.
