This Sunday, February 20, 2022, the Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the pandemic in the country, which accounts for 3,381 new cases and 110 deaths.
In addition, it recorded that 30,998 tests were processed (15,312 PCR tests and 15,686 antigen tests).
These figures reflect a decrease in cases of contagion in recent days. In fact, the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, assured that Colombia, the fourth peak, is already declining in terms of cases, “but surely only until the third week of March will we be reaching the minimum level.”
In the country, to date, 32,953,805 tests have been processed. Thus, Colombia reaches 6,047,042 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, in March 2020.
On the other hand, the report accounts for 110 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total death toll in Colombia amounts to 138,106.
In the last 24 hours, in addition, 4,365 recovered patients were reported. Thus, there are already 5,866,006 patients who have overcome covid-19 in the country to date.
In total, there are 21,672 cases that remain active in Colombia.
