This Tuesday, February 22, 2022, the Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the pandemic in the country, which accounts for 2,174 new cases and 80 deaths, figures in which a new reduction is evident.
In addition, it registered that 35,718 tests were processed (11,898 for PCR and 23,820 for antigens).

These figures continue to mark the trend of a decrease in cases of contagion in recent days. Health Minister Fernando Ruiz recently assured that the fourth peak in the country is already declining in terms of cases, “but surely only until the third week of March will we be reaching the minimum level.”

In the country, to date, 33,016,280 tests have been processed. That’s the way it is, Colombia reaches 6,052,126 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, in March 2020.
On the other hand, the report accounts for 80 more deaths from the virus compared to the 99 reported this Monday. With this update, the total death toll in Colombia amounts to 138,285.

In the last 24 hours, in addition, 3,565 recovered patients were reported. So yeah There are 5,874,444 patients who have overcome covid-19 in the country to date.
In total, there are 18,022 cases that remain active in Colombia, a figure that is also going down, after that reported on Monday, which reached 19,553.
How is the National Vaccination Plan going?
As for the progress of National Vaccination Plan, the health authority reported that, with a cutoff at 11:59 p.m. on February 20, 76,193,263 doses of the covid-19 vaccine have been applied in the country. Of that figure, 35,070,737 correspond to the first dose; 27,121,668, second dose; 7,916,114, to booster doses, and 6,084,744 are from the single-dose vaccine.
