Covid-19 in Colombia: deaths and cases today March 2, 2022 - Other Cities - Colombia

This Wednesday, March 2, the Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the pandemic in the country, which accounts for 1,222 new cases and 45 deaths.

In addition, it reported that 26,193 tests were processed (8,436 for PCR and 17,757 for antigens).

In the country, to date, 33,250,588 tests have been processed. Thus, Colombia reaches 6,067,023 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, in March 2020.

On the other hand, the report accounts for 45 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total death toll in Colombia amounts to 138,899.

In the last 24 hours, in addition, 1,459 recovered patients were reported. Thus, there are already 5,893,989 patients who have overcome covid-19 in the country to date.

In total, there are 12,282 cases that remain active in Colombia.

Regarding the progress of the National Vaccination Plan, the health authority reported that, with a cutoff at 11:59 pm on February 28, 77,497,059 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 have been applied in the country. Of that figure, 35,218,016 correspond to the first dose; 27,480,688, second dose; 8,633,183, to booster doses, and 6,165,172 are for the single-dose vaccine.

In Colombia, 33,645,860 people already have the complete vaccination schedule.
