In the last few hours, the Santander Police Department, within the framework of the 100-day Drug-Free Territories Phase IV strategy plan, through the Transit and Transportation Section, carried out the capture in flagrante delicto of a 19-year-old man, by the crime of trafficking, carrying or manufacturing drugs with more than a thousand grams of drugs (marijuana), at kilometer 40 of the San Gil-Bucaramanga road, jurisdiction of the municipality of Aratoca.

This fact happened after the uniformed officers intercepted a motorcycle where this subject was moving as a barbecue that covered the Bucaramanga – Oiba route, there, in the development of registration and control activities, they found in his possession more than a thousand grams of narcotics, apparently it would be marketed in the city of destination.

Taking into account the foregoing, the captured person and the seized drug were left at the disposal of the San Gil Local Prosecutor’s Office, where in the next few hours the respective hearings will be held to legalize the arrest and charge charges while waiting for a judge of the republic defines its judicial situation.
