Since the afternoon of last Sunday, February 27, Daniel Gutiérrez and Sebastián Martínez arrived in the rural area of ​​Pance, south of Cali, where their trail was lost, apparently in the middle of a storm.

Yesterday, Friday, March 4, the relatives of the two friends spent hours of sunshine, but in the afternoon it rained and thunder sounded at that gate to the Farallones National Natural Park.

Daniel Gutiérrez Delgado, 24, and Sebastián Martínez González, 22, who left their homes in a block of the Jorge Eliécer Gaitán neighborhood, in the northeast of the city, arrived on the morning of Sunday, February 27, at that tourist area. south of the capital of Valle del Cauca.

They arrived after noon at the El Embudo theme park, where they recorded a video that circulated around 1:30 in the afternoon. There they commented on that space in the mountain of Pance, a district about 20 minutes from Cali.

From that moment began the vigilance of the Martínez and Gutiérrez families, who live separated by just a few houses in Gaitán, in commune 6.

On Monday, early, the pilgrimage of members of the two families began in search of traces of Daniel and Sebastián. They went through the Battalion and assistance centers in search of some data.

The Firefighters, the Civil Defense and the Pance alert group have accompanied the relatives. But it is not easy for them to remain so long in a search that, in addition, is complex due to the fence.

Adriana Martínez, Sebastián’s sister, cried out for support because it is a task in which they have no tools or experience. On Friday afternoon, personnel from the Administrative Department of Environmental Management (Dagma) helped to clear sticks, stones and mud.

Feliannys Colina, Daniel’s wife, insists on the need for a search by air and with the support of canines.

On Tuesday they found some of Daniel’s clothes. On Wednesday it was a towel that would belong to Sebastián. The relatives are not going to decline in the search, even if they go from hope to anguish.

Sebastián Martínez has a tattoo of the Gemini constellation painted on his right arm, another of Mario Bross on his right calf and one of a raven on his chest.
