Después de ser una actividad universitaria y sirviendo a un centenar de personas de escasos recursos, el comedor comunitario de San Pascual se fortalece con apoyo de la Administración Distrital, a través del programa ‘Corazón Contento’.

“Al llevar un lustro de funcionamiento y luego vincularse al proyecto social del gobierno que orienta el alcalde Jorge Iván Ospina, ha permitido hacer parte de todo ese esfuerzo por la seguridad alimenticia de la ciudad, en especial en los sectores menos favorecidos”, señaló Juan Carlos Gómez, gestor del comedor.

Consideró que tener el corazón contento “es cuando uno como persona se siente satisfecho a partir de brindarle la mano y unos alimentos a otros, en el marco de un proceso comunitario y sacando incluso del propio tiempo para hacer florecer la solidaridad y el amor por el prójimo”.

“Lo más importante de este proceso es cuando se ayuda al otro, a salir un poco incluso de una rutina de vida. Por eso cuando las personas vienen a esta casona a almorzar, se siente una satisfacción muy grande que logra generar algún cambio para bien”, reflexionó el gestor.

Anotó que el espacio generado por este comedor de ‘Corazón Contento’ es de encuentro, “de los que coordinamos con quienes vienen de la comunidad; hay unos que en múltiples ocasiones no tienen con qué desayunar ni almorzar y nosotros contribuimos a aliviar esas situaciones, apoyados también con algunas donaciones”.

Por su parte, doña Elizabeth Guzmán, quien se encarga de preparar los alimentos, indicó que estar al frente de la cocina es algo muy satisfactorio, porque se pone al servicio de los demás la experiencia en esta clase de oficios, máxime tratándose de un sector como San Pascual, que requiere mucho apoyo del Gobierno, los caleños y la vecindad para continuar reconstruyendo el tejido social.

“Nuestro trabajo se hace con mucho amor y cariño y no se desprecia a nadie por su forma de vestir o su situación personal. Nuestros brazos abiertos no hacen distingo alguno”, concluyó.
