Moment of the confrontation between the Police and the alleged criminals.

The incident that occurred on a road in that municipality was recorded in a video.

Gunshots ended a confrontation between members of the Police and five alleged criminals, who had just stolen cable in an area of ​​the municipality of El Retiro, in eastern Antioquia.

Following the community alert, the authorities detected two suspicious taxis on the road.

“These people threaten the humanity of the police and the patrol manages to react immediately, capturing these people,” said Colonel Diego Enrique Fontal Cornejo, Operational Commander of Citizen Security of the Antioquia Police Department.

In total, five people between 24 and 31 years of age were captured.

According to the investigations carried out by the Police, these people would be linked to committing theft in Eastern Antioquia, mainly from cables.

Those captured were left at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office. and must answer for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition and theft.
