On the coast of the department of Cauca, the murder of Anderson Darío Cuasquer Montenegro was presented on Sunday morning.
Until now the origin of the attackers has not been determined.

The uniformed man, 29 years old and a native of Popayán, was the father of three children. He had been in the institution for eight years.
On Sunday he was on duty in the municipality of López de Micay, in the Pacific region of Cauca, more than eight hours from Popayán, the capital of the department.
The mayor of that town, Wanner Suárez, reported that the policeman was killed by unknown individuals who shot him several times. when other police officers were buying some food in a commercial establishment in the municipal seat.
“The patrolman was waiting outside a store for his colleagues who had entered to buy groceries. At that time a man gave him several impacts from a firearm, “said the mayor.
Although he was referred to a health center, he died due to head and chest injuries.

The director of the National Police, General Jorge Luis Vargas, assured that operations are being carried out in the area to locate and bring to justice the perpetrators of the attack.

In the next few hours, an extraordinary council will be held to analyze the situation and define the actions to follow.
Cuasquer Montenegro belonged to the Cauca Police Department and was a member of the National Model of Community Surveillance by Quadrants.
