Covid-19 in Colombia: deaths and cases today February 28, 2022 - Other Cities - Colombia

This Monday, February 28, the Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the pandemic in the country, which accounts for 1,882 new cases and 74 deaths.

In addition, it reported that 28,396 tests were processed (14,977 PCR tests and 13,419 antigen tests).

In the country, to date, 33,194,144 tests have been processed. Thus, Colombia reaches 6,064,583 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, in March 2020.

On the other hand, the report accounts for 74 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total death toll in Colombia amounts to 138,767.

In the last 24 hours, in addition, 2,089 recovered patients were reported. Thus, there are already 5,890,563 patients who have overcome covid-19 in the country to date.

In total, there are 13,537 cases that remain active in Colombia.

Regarding the progress of the National Vaccination Plan, the health authority reported that, with a cutoff at 11:59 pm on February 26, 77,248,506 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 have been applied in the country. Of that figure, 35,188,391 correspond to the first dose; 27,391,350, second dose; 8,516,629, to booster doses, and 6,152,136 are for the single-dose vaccine.

In Colombia, 33,543,486 people already have the complete vaccination schedule.
