The three men involved in the kidnapping were captured.

After being kidnapped for a month, a young university student was rescued by the Gaula of the National Police.

The operation was carried out in commune 1 (Popular), in the Northeast of Medellín, and left three people captured.

According to official information, the kidnapping of the young woman occurred on January 20 in the Castilla neighborhood of the capital of Antioquia, in the Northwest, while she was in a taxi that was intercepted by a private vehicle and they took her away from her home. Will.

The kidnappers contacted the victim’s parents via Whatsapp and they asked for 120 million pesos for his release.

“The relatives of the young woman reported the incident to the Gaula, allowing an investigation to be launched that led the uniformed men to the Miranda neighborhood of Medellín where alias ‘Mosquera’ was captured when he received part of the payment required from his victims for the release of the kidnapped ”, explained Colonel Wilson Barrios, operational chief of the Gaula of the National Police.

The detainees were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office for the crime of aggravated extortive kidnapping. Meanwhile, it was reported that the young woman is in good health with her family.

The little boy, along with his seven-year-old sister who also has signs of abuse, was separated from his mother by units of the Police Group for Children and Adolescents, after learning of the complaint.

The case was made public, after residents of the La Sierrita neighborhood sector were alerted when they saw the woman beating the little boy in the middle of a public thoroughfare.

“Stop, walk!” the woman yelled at the child. To which his own neighbors responded: “Call the Police! You are going to kill him! Do not spoil it like that ”, was heard in the video, before the crying of the victim.

The scene was recorded with a cell phone and uploaded to social networks, which generated the indignation of many people and provoked the immediate reaction of the Police, through the Group for the Protection of Children and Adolescents.

“The minor and a sister, 7 years old, were separated from their family nucleus for the restitution of rights and left at the disposal of the ICBF”, said the operational commander of the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police, Lieutenant Colonel Luis Sandoval.

He added that the Children and Adolescents Group had carried out a process against the parents of these minors, after the girl evaded the family nucleus and invited the citizens to take care of the children and adolescents.

After receiving the call from the anguished community of El Doce, in the rural area of Tarazaat Bajo Cauca Antioquiaworkers of EPM managed this Monday the happy rescue of a lazy bear that was trapped between high voltage cables in the area.

The rescue was carried out by Víctor Hugo López, 38, who pointed out that the alert of the community in the area began at noon.

“They called me from noon – says Víctor -. I have a lot of contact with the leaders of the area and they asked me for help because the little animal was there early, “he said.

According to López, he was in the middle of another operation when he was able to go through the sector of El Doce and see the sloth bear on the wires.

He was immediately afraid of what might happen to him and decided to call the company so that they would authorize the rescue and proceed to take all the security measures.

“I saw him all sunstroke and I was afraid that a short that was going to take his life,” the man recalls. Everyone was waiting for the rescue, but first they had to do the whole process from Medellin so that it would be safe to get on”.

The moment in which Víctor climbed the pole and began to attract the animal was recorded in a video. Although he resisted Víctor assures that he started talking to him to calm him down.

“I told him to come, not to be afraid of me, that I wanted to save his life,” says Víctor. I asked him to listen to me, that this was to return it to its habitat. It was very nice because when I was finally able to hold him in our arms we lowered him with great affection and care”.

It is the first time that Víctor has carried out a rescue of this type in the three years that he has been working with EPM. He points out that it was a very emotional moment, as the community applauded him when he came down with the sloth bear in his arms.

The procedure took place between 3:30 and 5 in the afternoon. The rescue of sloth it took 20 minutes.

The animal was left in its natural habitat. Víctor assures that he saw him very happy and without any injuries.

“Welcome to freedom, little bear. Climb up the tree. Don’t fall, son,” Víctor is heard saying in the video where they return the sloth bear to its habitat.
