Husbands Neyireth Almanya and Jair Efrén Ortega, residents of Cali, lost their jobs during the covid-19 pandemic. To generate new income for their family, they created a clothing company. However, the clothing that this couple makes stands out because they are colorful and have creative images printed on them.

These entrepreneurs have done well and already generate four jobs. But they needed a boost and they signed up for the Valle INN fund, a strategy of the Government of Valle del Cauca to support the economic reactivation of the department.

Well Neyireth and her husband were some of the 350 beneficiary entrepreneurs from four communes of Cali and they received, completely free, a printer and a computer that will allow them to make and print the designs in a single day. This process took two days.

“This tabloid printer that they give me today will allow me to have much more performance and get more production because the normal printer generated much more work for me. As an entrepreneur, I invite you to believe in Valle INN, to believe in the Government’s projects and to reactivate economically”, said the entrepreneur.

Valle INN is one of the successful programs of the departmental administration. For this reason, the Ministry of Finance highlighted it as a model of economic recovery. The fund will benefit 2,109 productive units with an investment of $18,732 million in 18 communes.

More than $40,000 million has been invested by the departmental administration in the economic reactivation of entrepreneurs and micro-entrepreneurs from Valle del Cauca during 2021 through the Valle INN fund. 15 calls were made and 7,023 companies benefited.

They were the joys in the El Pueblo coliseum, where the governor Clara Luz Roldán delivered the first supplies that will reach 2,109 beneficiaries of the program INN Valley in 18 communes of Cali.

The Valle INN fund delivered machinery, equipment and tools to entrepreneurs from four communes (13, 14, 16 and 21, ), with some 18,000 million pesos. “I have to thank the planning committees of each of the communes because from the Government of the Valley we promised to execute some resources in each of the communes of Cali and it was the committees that prioritized some resources for economic development and reactivation. Here we are fulfilling them, in Cali we are going to support more than 2,000 entrepreneurial projects,” said Governor Roldán.

Yesterday’s session was held in communes 13, 14, 16 and 21, in which 350 enterprises are the beneficiaries.

A good part of these 350 enterprises do not have a Mercantile Registry of the Chamber of Commerce. The Governor and the secretary of Economic Development of the district administration, Pedro Bravo, explained that this requirement is not necessary to compete and obtain support from Valle INN.

“Many entrepreneurs are informal, that with this project, plus the advice of the Secretariat, they will go to the formal economy,” said Bravo.

In fact, the Cali Chamber of Commerce, which issues commercial registration records, was one of the jurors.
