Registraduría ya no presentará solicitud de reconteo de votos al CNE: "Continuará su normal curso el escrutinio"

Según el registrador Alexánder Vega Rocha, habrá total transparencia y garantías en las elecciones presidenciales.

La solicitud de la Registraduría a la Fiscalía y al CNE para «el recuento general de votos para Senado de la República, a fin de dar transparencia al proceso electoral» se ‘echó para atrás’. Tras la nueva polémica y la ola de críticas que se dieron en el marco del escrutinio de las elecciones parlamentarias, el registrador Alexánder Vega Rocha confirmó que que el proceso continuará su avance normal.

Según el funcionario «no hubo fraude en Colombia el pasado 13 de marzo. Lo que se presentó fue una diferencia entre el preconteo y el escrutinio».

Agregando que pese a todas las denuncias y lo sucedido nuevamente con los Formularios E14, «los jurados fueron capacitados por funcionarios con experiencia electoral”. De igual forma manifestó nuevamente que no se ha definido si hubo o no errores humanos o dolo por parte de algunos jurados.

En cuanto al reconteo que de todos los votos que manifestó este lunes se solicitaría, informo dicha decisión fue desistida.

«Para información de todas las fuerzas políticas, la Registraduría no presentará ante el CNE la solicitud de recuento de votos de las elecciones de Senado de la República, en consecuencia, continuará su normal curso el escrutinio», dijo Vega Rocha este martes.

«El resultado de las próximas elecciones presidenciales reflejará la voluntad de los colombianos, a través de un proceso electoral transparente y con garantías», subrayó el registrador nacional, tras reconocer el empeño de la fuerza pública en los pasados comicios.

Revocation of Daniel Quintero: the committee demands speed from the CNE - Medellín - Colombia

With the numeral #CNEApruebe, the promoters of the recall of the mayor of Medellin, Daniel Quinteroand those who support it, demonstrated on social networks requesting speed from the National Electoral Council (CNE) so that it delivers the certificate of the accounting reports of the recall process.

Andrés Rodríguez, representative of the Recall Committee, stated that this process is already in the final stretch.

“Both the CNE and the Registry are aware that Daniel Quintero’s recall is inevitable. These are the last days, before they approve everything and we will finally go to the polls. Patience and prudence,” Rodríguez said.

The spokesman for the committee added that the officials of the CNE campaign accounts should already have finished the report to pass it on to the plenary room so that the financial statements can be approved.

Once this stage has been completed, the President of the Republic will be in charge of setting a date for citizens to come out to vote the recall.

For his part, the lawyer Juan Giraldo Mora, asked the magistrates to issue the resolution so that votes can be called.

“I believe that all the steps have been fulfilled, the pertinent explanations have been given and the principle of innocence that accompanies the actions of people must be respected,” said the lawyer.
