Already in the area there are athletes of the sizes Mikaili ‘Mika’ sun of Brazil, number one in the world; the Spanish Rita Arnussecond in the ranking, and Valentin Rodriguezwho is part of the Colombia team.
The conditions of Salinas del Rey, which has a permanent breeze from the morning until late in the afternoon, allow you to practice the sport on these beaches because the wind is constant.

The World Cup parade begins this Wednesday with the registration of the athletes, the opening ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 am. Then, at 11:30 am, the GKA will have a technical meeting and the competitions will start from 12:30 noon to 4:00 pm.

The Mayor’s Office of Juan de Acosta, National Police, the Navy and the Dimarallied institutions in the organization of the World Tour, work in coordination with the Secretariat of Economic Development, Sports, Culture and Tourism of the Atlantic in the organization of the World Cup.
“It is a real privilege to have the best kitesurfers in the world in our department,” said the Governor of the Atlantic, Elsa Noguerawho this Monday presided over the official launch of the tournament, with the presence of GKA Tour Manager Tom Hartmann.
“For the GKA, it is very good to have this type of event in a venue like Salinas del Rey and discover new places for the world of kitesurfing. We want Salinas to consolidate itself as a great place to practice the sport in Latin America,” said Hartmann.
