A new violent act was denounced this Saturday in the north of Cauca.

A mother and her son were murdered in a rural area of ​​Santander de Quilichao.

The mayor of that town, Lucy Amparo Guzmán, explained that Both victims were traveling on a motorcycle, near the village of Lomitas, at kilometer 11, when armed men attacked them with firearms.

The victims were identified as Diana Paola Gil and her son Alejandro Salcedo Gil.

According to the president, they were recognized as victims of the conflict and were part of a group of people who were carrying out a process of collective reparation due to the armed conflict in this region of the country.

In this same municipality, on January 23, two uniformed men were attacked by men who were traveling on two motorcycles, near the El Rosario neighborhood, in the urban area.
