Nickol Valentina’s dreams of being a famous gymnast vanished when Pedro José Trujillo murdered her on Thursday, February 23, in the tunnel of the Mesón de los Bucaros for stealing her cell phone.

The 15-year-old girl was leaving her school in Bucaramanga when she was approached by this man, who stabbed her three times that ended her life.

From the age of eight, she practiced artistic gymnastics at the city’s Gymnastics Club, where she had already toured several countries representing the department and the country in this discipline.

His coach and teammates are shocked by this crime that horrified the country eight days ago.

As a tribute to her life and her dreams of being one of the best gymnasts in the world, they prepared this touching video of the best moments of Nickol on the uneven bars, on the beam and on the floor routines.

José Trujillo confessed to the crime and said that “I didn’t want to kill her, but the girl died,” while he argued that he stole his cell phone to buy some tennis shoes for his son who lives in Venezuela.

The man was sent to prison for aggravated murder and aggravated robbery and could face a sentence of up to 50 years.
