The candidate for the presidency of the Republic Alexander Charlie continued, this weekend, his tour of the department of Magdalena, explaining the content of the so-called agenda ‘Country of Opportunities’.

Char walked the streets of Santa Marta and went from house to house to discuss and listen to the needs of the people of Magdalen, with whom he promised to carry out each of those requests.
On this tour, Char met with young people in the Pescaito neighborhood who were interested in the experience of Barranquilla and its transformation in the last decade, thanks to the determined work of the most recent administrations.

Among the topics discussed, and which aroused the greatest interest among young people, was the Higher educationwho are concerned about the few access opportunities they have today.

The applicant assured that in his government he will work to make the public university more accessible to boys, and that it will be done by expanding the academic offer, more careers, but taking into account the spaces.
“That the pelaos study what they really need in the region where they live, because the need and labor supply of Santa Marta or the Caribbean Region is not the same as that of the boys from the Eastern Plains or the Amazon,” said the candidate.
He added that this higher education policy will go hand in hand with the promotion of employment and investment for the creation of companies.

Another issue that worries young people in the cupcake, and that resonated with the candidate is that of sport and the spaces for its practice. For this reason, he promised to open more of these spaces throughout the national territory.
“I am a sports man, my family is a sports lover, and it is a subject that I am very passionate about. Sport will be one of our fundamental tasks, and we are going to create and prepare these spaces, and we are going to accompany our athletes, from their training, in their internal competitions and when they have to represent us abroad. That is necessary, and we are going to do it,” Char said.
