Later they enjoyed a typical lunch of the region and in the afternoon with the accompaniment of the also pre-candidate Alejandro Gaviria Uribe and head of the Senate list Humberto de la Calle, they undertook a day of flyering, where they took the opportunity to listen to the needs and know the expectations of the community facing a new presidential mandate.
The visit in Magdalena will extend to the municipalities of Ciénaga and Puebloviejo, where they will sign the pact.for zero hunger‘. Then they will continue their tour in Barranquilla and Cartagena.
Proposals for the Colombian Caribbean
Juan Fernando Cristo, coordinator of the campaign, recognized that the Caribbean Coast is the area of the country where the Centro Esperanza coalition has not been able to penetrate with great force with its message.
For this reason, he indicated that these three days in the main cities of the region will be very important to demonstrate that the pre-candidates of this community are the best option to support in the next consultation on March 13.

He assured that the Centro Esperanza coalition remains very united and strengthened, and will demonstrate it in the joint work that the pre-candidates will do during the remaining weeks of the campaign.

For his part, the pre-candidate Juan Manuel Galán stated that he is personally concerned about the wave of violence affecting Magdalena, especially in the south due to clashes between armed groups who dispute the business of drug trafficking.
He also pointed out that “we have a responsibility to protect our social leaders who are very vulnerable in this department.”
He also referred as a priority in his proposal, the need to solve the problem of drinking water and basic sanitation that the capital of Magdalena has historically suffered.
“We have to end the business of tank cars which is the real reason why there has been no desire for this city to have an adequate aqueduct,” said Galán.

Meanwhile, Sergio Fajardo said that “I will promote the integration of Cartagena, Barranquilla and Santa Marta by train, an extraordinary project due to the economic benefits it will generate”.
He also spoke of productive and educational programs that, according to his concept, will be essential for progress to come to the region.
