An alleged case of sexual abuse against a detainee was denounced again at the police station. Soledad Police 2,000in the metropolitan area of Barranquilla.

Said public complaint has been circulating since Friday night in a video that the perpetrators themselves recorded, of the moment in which they violated the inmate, but that this medium refrains from spreading.

It shows a group of detainees who reduce the victim and one of them subsequently inserts a candy into her private parts.
After carrying out this action, they take the same element and put it in their mouths by force, before the impotence of the man, who was immobilized.
Faced with this fact, EL TIEMPO consulted the Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla, whose operational commander, Lieutenant Colonel Luis Sandovalreported that they have taken action.
“Human Rights accompanied the complainant, so that he could file the criminal complaint with the Attorney General’s Office,” said the spokesman.

Colonel Sandoval added that they carried out an intervention in the temporary detention center, achieving the seizure of three cell phonesin addition to identifying several people who would be linked to the complaint.
“The Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla reported this complaint to the control entities and delivered the evidence and the information collected to the Attorney General’s Office,” he said.

It is the second known case in the station
This case of sexual assault is the second in this detention center that comes to light in less than a year. The first was reported in May 2021within the framework of the National Strike.

That time, three young protesters were taken to the Soledad 2,000 station “for the crimes of violence against a public servant and obstruction on public roads,” according to the Police.
However, one of them, a member of the LGBTI community, denounced that inside the CAI they were victims of sexual assault by other inmates, after being pushed, according to the story, by the uniformed men.
It must be remembered that, after that case, the inmates were charged with sexual abuse. While, due to acts of torture isolated to the latter, the Ombudsman’s Office requested the transfer of some detainees at said station.
