Medellín: The recall of Daniel Quintero will not be voted on March 13 - Medellín - Colombia

The National Registrar of Civil Status, Alexander Vega Rocha, who was in Antioch for the installation of the Departmental Table of Electoral Guarantees, he referred to the process of recall of the mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero.

In the regional media Teleantioquia, Rocha explained that the Registrar’s Office has already endorsed the signatures sent by the recall committee, but that, given the tutelage filed by Quintero, the process is under review of their technical debate.

He also clarified that without the account certificate of the National Electoral Council (CNE), which has not been handed over, nor can it be called to vote.

An inquiry can take up to six months. But by March 13 it is not enough

“Until the CNE does not finish the investigation and deliver the peace and safe, the recall cannot be called (…) We are with those times, an investigation can take up to six months. But by March 13 it is not enoughwe do not have it established”, said the Registrar.

From the recall committee and those who support it, the #CNEApruebe number went viral so that the entity speeds up the process.

The spokesman for the committee, Andrés Rodríguez, stated that the officials of the CNE campaign accounts should have already finished the report to pass it on to the plenary room so that the financial statements can be approved.
