The Ministry of Health has notified this Thursday 226 more deaths and 35,892 coronavirus infections since yesterday. The incidence of cases continues to be de-escalated but slows down by dropping 27.7 points in the last 24 hours.

The accumulated incidence at 14 days stands at 648.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, 27.7 points less than on Wednesday, while in the previous days this difference exceeded 50 points, so the rate of decline of this sixth wave is slow down
Galicia is the only region that exceeds a thousand cases (1,059), while Castilla-La Mancha with 399 and Melilla with 319 are at the bottom of the new infections.
By age bracketsthe incidence is low in all groups, with 12 to 19 year-olds in the lead with 938 cases, followed by 20 to 29 with 792 and under 11 with 720 cases.
Deaths: 226 deaths
One more day the Ministry of Health has notified a high number of deaths, 226, after yesterday they were 301 and 464 last Monday, although there may be delays in notifications by the autonomous communities.
The death toll during the sixth wave, which began just over four months ago, amounts to 12,245.
The total number of deaths since records are available in this pandemic is 99,162.
The infections: 35,892
Health It has reported 35,892 infections since yesterday, a figure somewhat higher than yesterday’s (33,911) and Tuesday’s (22,194), although far from the more than 300,000 that were reached after a weekend at the peak of the sixth wave .
Since the start of the pandemic in Spain there are already 10,949,997 coronavirus infections on record.
The positivity rate of diagnostic tests it continues to fall to 20.05%, thirty tenths less than yesterday.
Less pressure on hospitals
The ICUs are at 11.95% bed occupancy with 1,112 patients, 50 less since yesterday although still at high risk (between 10% and 5%).
All the autonomous communities are below the extreme risk of occupation (25%). Catalonia and Aragon have 21% occupancy, while Galicia stands at 2.9%, in a new normality.
In Spanish hospitals, on the ward and ICU, there are 7,824 covid patients (6.2% occupancy), 434 fewer patients than last Friday and in a situation of medium risk (from 5% to 10% of occupied beds).
In the last 24 hours, 675 people have been admitted due to covid and 1,112 have been discharged.
Vaccines
In total there are 38,401,260 citizens, 91% of the population over 12 years of age, with the full schedule of the covid vaccine.
In addition, 23.9 million people have already received the booster dose, 50.5% of the general population.
57% of children between 5 and 11 years old (1.8 million out of 3.2 million) have received at least one dose and 16.1% already have the complete schedule since the campaign started on December 15 pediatric vaccination.
