Una casa quemada en Tumaco por instalación de válvula ilícita en el Oleoducto Transandino

Como medida preventiva, se suspendió el bombeo del oleoducto y se cerraron las válvulas de bloqueo de la infraestructura.

Un emergencia se registra en el municipio de Tumaco, por cuenta de la instalación de una válvula ilícita por terceros en el Oleoducto Trasandino.

La emergencia se registró a la altura del corregimiento La Guayacana.

Como causa de la acción ilícita resultó incinerada una casa, lugar al que llegó el Cuerpo de Bomberos Voluntarios de Tumaco para atender el incendio.

Tras varias horas de arduo trabajo, lograron controlar completamente la conflagración.

“Hasta el momento no se tiene reporte de personas lesionadas”, indicaron.

Sin embargo, como medida preventiva, se suspendió el bombeo del oleoducto y se cerraron las válvulas de bloqueo de la infraestructura.

«Se informó al Consejo Municipal de Gestión del Riesgo del Desastre de Tumaco sobre esta situación y las acciones del PEC. El Ejército Nacional se encuentra asegurando la zona, garantizando la entrada y seguridad del personal técnico que atenderá el evento», señaló.

Por tal razón, la empresa hizo  un llamado a la comunidad de este sector para que se abstenga de acercarse al lugar del incidente, hasta tanto culminen las labores de evaluación, atención y reparación a las que haya a lugar.

«Rechazamos estas acciones ilícitas y hacen un llamado para que cesen estos delitos contra la infraestructura que ponen en riesgo la integridad de las personas», señalaron desde Cenit,

Enfatizaron en que esto genera graves consecuencias al medio ambiente y afectan las actividades de las comunidades y de la industria petrolera.

Minutes later, the company informed the municipal Disaster Risk Management councils of the Mallama, Ricaurte, Barbacoas and Tumaco municipalities of the attack. They are located in the coastal foothills and the Pacific Coast of Nariño.

“The National Army is in the area securing the site and guaranteeing the entry of the technical personnel that will attend to the emergency,” the company reported, which also called on the community of the affected sector to refrain from approaching the place, until the tasks of attention, repair, mitigation and other consequences for the loss of containment are completed.

Both Cenit and Ecopetrol rejected this kind of violent action and called for an end to these crimes that put the integrity of the population at high risk and generate serious consequences for the environment.
