“There goes the Cabal, a countrywoman from these regions. They wanted to organize a rally against Petro. And I got involved…, but poor Cabal, how is it going to come here with 15 people to sabotage this demonstration! The Cabal is delusional,” said the candidate of the Historical Pact, before thousands of people who filled the Bulevar del Río sector in the center of the capital of Valle del Cauca.

Petro also affirmed that the Uribista senator, who was born in Cali, is saying that he intends to end the Familias en Acción program and that is not true. “I am not going to end Families in Action, but I am going to think about it in the midst of the needs of this country. The first need is that of the boy and girl of early childhood. I want that subsidy to become an income by right, not by gift; Basic income they call it. We are going to talk about the State giving the mother who is the head of the family a vital basic income, which will take her out of poverty, not keep her in poverty,” she explained.

This newspaper asked journalists from Senator Cabal’s Office of Communications if what Petro said about the alleged sabotage of his campaign closure is true, but he has not received an answer.
