The inhabitants of the municipality of Toro woke up in mourning before the death of five of its inhabitants in a traffic accident on the road and which is attributed to the deterioration of the road.

At 9:30 at night, a car was traveling along the highway that connects Toro with the neighboring municipality of Ansermanuevo, in the north of the department.
Albeiro López was traveling with his wife, Milena López, the musician Alberto Gómez, Luisa Lemos and Henry Osorio.
The noise was heard when the car collided with a tanker truck that was coming in the opposite direction.
Colonel Yeimy Carvajal Gallo, Sectional Commander of Traffic and Transportation, Valle Police Department, specified that the impact was at kilometer 100.7 in the El Bohío sector, between Mediacanoa and La Virginia.

On the site it was commented that the driver of the car tried to avoid a hole and would have lost control when one of the tires burst, in full gear.

There were also expressions of pain for the death of the singer-songwriter from Toresa, Alberto Gómez, recognized as an artist in the North Valle del Cauca region and for his presentations in churches.
The other two travelers were Luisa Lemos, who lived in the township of San Francisco, while Henry Osorio was the brother of a councilwoman from Toro.
