The Government of Valle del Cauca announced that it reinforces the platform through which the appointments are made, in response to the complaint before the Prosecutor’s Office.
The secretary of Coexistence and Citizen Security, Camilo Murcia, He warned that “unscrupulous people sell supposed appointments through different means, charging for the scheduling that is free.”

They offer to quickly get the passport. What is “generated in some cases non-existent appointments and a fake QR code that, when approaching the modules of the Passport Office, it does not work and generates damming. This has been reported to the Attorney General’s Office”.
Murcia called on citizens not to accept help from alleged brokers. The scheduling is done through the website.
This process is carried out only virtually, between 12:00 m. and 2:00 pm when 1,200 citations are released.
Regarding the possible saturation of the page, the Secretary explained: “it is important to be patient, since on some days up to 9,000 applications have been submitted at the same time, so only the first 1,200 are generated.”
The Passport Office processes an average of 1,000 and 1,200 documents per day, taking into account that users meet the requirements.
These procedures, according to the Government, take between five and seven minutes at the headquarters of this office, which works on the first floor of tower B, in the La Estación shopping center, on Carrera 1 with Calle 36, in Cali.
“We seek to strengthen the process and provide more scheduling options so that people can resolve their process in the shortest possible time, without requiring help from third parties,” said Murcia.
Citizens can request an appointment from Thursday to Sunday, preferably at night, through the website www.pasaportes.valledelcauca.gov.co. This procedure does not require intermediaries.
