Coronavirus in Colombia cases and deaths today February 8, 2022 - Colombia

According to the report of the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, February 8, 9,730 new cases of covid-19 were reported in Colombia. This, after 42,027 tests were processed (17,047 for PCR and 24,980 for antigens).

In the country, to date, 32,542,267 tests have been processed. Thus, Colombia reaches 5,985,516 cases of coronavirus confirmed since the pandemic began, in March 2020.

On the other hand, the report accounts for 205 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total number of deaths in Colombia amounts to 136,197.

In the last 24 hours, in addition, 15,893 recovered patients were reported. Thus, there are already 5,781,436 patients who to date have passed the covid-19 in the country.

As for the progress of National Vaccination Plan, the health authority reported that, with a cutoff at 11:59 p.m. on February 6, 73,325,312 doses of the covid-19 vaccine have been applied in the country. Of that figure, 34,752,460 correspond to the first dose; 26,336,661 to second dose; 6,324,522, a booster dose, and 5,911,669 are for the single-dose vaccine.

In Colombia, 32,248,330 people already have the complete vaccination schedule.
