Don Omar changed the song when he noticed that nobody knew ‘Ella y yo’
Don Omar was performing in Las Vegas, United States, during the Calibash festival. It was then that the artist stopped his performance because no one was singing along with him.
The Puerto Rican was singing ‘Ella y yo’ when in one of the verses originally performed by Santos, Don Omar put the microphone so that the public would accompany him, but to his surprise almost nobody knew the song.
Surprised, the Puerto Rican asked them to stop the music to ask the audience if they knew the lyrics of the song and after getting a yes answer, he decided to try again.
Again he began his interpretation, but the audience still did not respond. Realizing that she would not be successful with accompanying people, she sent a message to his colleague: “Romeo Santos, forgive them wherever you are.”
After the disappointment that in the middle of his show the audience did not know one of his most popular songs, the interpreter of ‘Dile’ decided not to continue with the theme and began to sing ‘Salió el sol’.
