The rupture of a main conductive pipe, which allows the flow of natural gas in the sector, would be the cause of a fire in the San Pascual neighborhood, in the center of Cali.

The Gases de Occidente company closed the valves to cut off the flow of fuel.
The emergency was attended by 15 units of the fire department of the capital of Valle del Cauca with two fire-extinguishing machines, a height machinea tank car and a command car.
“It was a gas leak of great proportions, apparently a natural gas main pipe from a public highway, where flames of up to nine meters in height are present. Cooling of the façade of adjoining buildings is carried out, a Gases de Occidente technician in the site, they close the polyvalves, the situation is controlled without injuries. The emergency was attended by 15 of our units,” the firefighters reported.
