Students were left in the middle of a shooting in Guapi, Pacific coast of Cauca. A 12-year-old girl was injured by a stray bullet.
The incident occurred around 9:20 in the morning of this Tuesday, February 22, near an educational institution, in the urban area, when the students were on their break time.

Civilians carrying firearms faced gunfire.
Teodoro Lerma, Guapi’s government secretary, explained that in the midst of the clashes, The minor was hit by one of the bullets and had to be transferred to a care center, where she remains stable.
“Immediately, the police, accompanied by the Navy and the Army, came to control the situation, in addition to starting the investigations,” the official explained.
In videos that circulate on social networks, it is observed when the students, full of fear, run away when they hear the shots.

Hours earlier, in the community of Soledad, upper part of the Napi River Community Council in the same town, clashes between armed groups were also reported.
The upsurge in violence on the Pacific coast of Cauca has generated different situations.
Recently, about 40 families from the Soledad hamlet of the Alto Napi Community Council, about 40 families were forced to leave their territory.

In that municipality of Cauca, since December of last year there have been several forced displacements in the villages of Chigüero del Río Yantín and Hojarascal.
The massive displacement has also affected the community of San Antonio, of the Napi River Community Council.
From that date until now, it is estimated that there would be more than 400 displaced people.
On the other hand, on Sunday, February 20, a uniformed member of the National Police identified as Anderson Darío Cuasquer Montenegro was murdered, in López de Micay, also on the Pacific coast of that department.
