on 33rd avenue in Medellin they installed a fence “so that it is destroyed”, after being vandalized 11 times, according to the Democratic Center party.
With a large blank space and a “destroy here” sign, this campaign element alludes to what has been happening in the city to various candidates from various political parties.
The fence is part of the campaign of Paola Holguín, to the Senate, and of Juan Espiñal, to the House of Representatives for Antioquia and is part of the two notices of these candidates that have been previously damaged.
In total, this has been damaged eleven times and the one located on 30, three times, of which the entire infrastructure and the sheets have been attacked on two occasions, each time. According to the Democratic Center, Replacing each canvas costs more than one million pesos and the complete structure, more than seven.
“Twice the structure has been completely and permanently stolen from us. What remains in a democracy is to continue fighting for the level of debate, given the lack of arguments, capacity for debate, management, because they appeal to destruction” said Senator Paola Holguín.
For his part, Juan Espinal asked citizens to present ideas or proposals on this billboard:
Holguín took the opportunity to refer to the other part of the fence, in which they promise to “continue fighting to save Medellín from Daniel Quintero” and in their words, the country from communism.
The fence was criticized on social networks by some citizens, who pointed out that it was unnecessary to put the theme of communism, as well as that this is a direct invitation to people to damage it.
