There is consternation in the municipality of Morales, central Cauca, after themurder of a mother and her daughterwhen they were traveling on a motorcycle.

The events occurred around 6:30 pm last Friday, in the Modelo neighborhood.
The victims, identified as Yeseida Mosquera and her daughter Marcela Mambuscay Mosquera, They were attacked with gunshots.
“They shot the mother, the daughter tried to run away, but they also hit her,” witnesses said.
The bodies of the women were found on the side of the road, with the motorcycle next to them.

It was learned that Yeseida, 42, was a former employee of the Mayor’s Office of that municipality. Marcela was 23 years old.
The woman would have worked in the area of support for the Families in Action program in previous municipal administration.

So far this year, five women have been murdered in that department.
