Through the Secretariat of Urban Control and Public space A support process has been generated, including stationary vendors who are part of the plan, who can work together with entities such as the Corporación Acción por el Atlántico (Actuar Famiempresas), which promotes business habits.

“We have training with psychologists, advice to acquire new payment methods, we have even learned to save for our future, something that we did not consider because we were used to daily earnings,” said Heimar Suárez, one of the beneficiary merchants.
Alternative payment methods have also been promoted, to offer customers electronic transfers.
According to what was announced by the Mayor’s Office, the experience developed with the merchants who are already part of the program will be replicated with the stationary vendors of the center, as well as with those relocated in the new public markets.
This program was born as a satellite market created to give a hand to them and to more than 30 stationary vendors of the Center in a difficult moment. This itinerant offer that takes a little bit of the magic and effervescence of the Center of Barranquilla to all the locations of the city with its flagship flavors and products.
Beyond the Mercado a tu Barrio means a savings opportunity for vendors and their families. From the District Administration they receive support through training, which allows them to continue strengthening their business habits and making correct use of financial resources and improving their quality of life.
