The drivers of heavy cargo vehicles are so far the most affected, after the strong explosion that occurred at dawn this Wednesday on the Tijeras bridge, four kilometers from Pailitas (south of Cesar), which is attributed by the authorities to the ELN.
Mobility on the Scissors Bridge is restricted. In the face of the emergency, the Departmental Transit and Transportation authorities, with the support of the Police and Army, maintain a contingency plan through other alternative sections.
The El Burro, Tamalameque (south of Cesar) and El Banco (Magdalena) routes have been established as optional routes.

From these points, the vehicles can be mobilized to Cuatro Vientos, Chiriguaná corregimiento (Centro del Cesar) and continue the route to other cities in the Caribbean region.
“The cargo that comes from these cities arrives in Bosconia, then goes to El Banco, continues through Tamalameque and from there to the interior of the country,” explained Eduardo Esquivel, secretary of the departmental government.
At this time the area is militarized by 1,200 soldiers of the Tenth and Fifth Brigades, who guard the 48 bridges that are found between the municipalities of Curumaní and San Alberto (south of Cesar).

The group of uniformed officers also assists drivers who travel through this area and guides them to alternate routes to counteract traffic congestion in this section of the country.
Given the public order situation that Cesar is facing, the authorities have recommended proceeding with caution and being attentive to any eventuality that may arise.
