In Medellín and the other municipalities of the Aburrá Valley, like every Monday this February 21 the beak and plate is for motorcycle cars with digit 6 and 9.
It is worth mentioning that the one for cars applies with the last digit of the plate, while for 2 and 4-stroke motorcycles, it is based on the first digit of the plate. The restriction is from Monday to Friday, between 5:00 am and 8:00 pm
For the rest of the week, it goes like this:
– Tuesday 22: 23
– Wednesday 23: 4 – 8
– Thursday 24: 0 – 7
– Friday 25: 5 – 1
Non-compliance to the extent of pick and plate generates a penalty of 15 SMDLV, which is equivalent to $447,555 and the immobilization of the vehicle.
Some of the exempt roads are the River Road System (South Highway, Regional Avenue and Paralela Avenue), Las Palmas and Avenida 33 from the River to its connection with Las Palmas.
For exemption causes that require prior registration, applications must be submitted through www.medellin.gov.co and the period of validity will be counted from the date of the authorization issued by the Ministry of Mobility.
Another option is the so-called ‘special circulation permit’, this tool can only be paid virtually 24 hours before the restrictive measure of the license plate begins to take effect.
The charge for motorcycles is $8,384, while for cars it is $38,285 per day of circulation. The procedure is only enabled virtually through the website www.medellín.gov.co/movilidadenlínea.
Said payment will be suspended from March 1, reported the Medellín mayor’s office.
