BOGOTA COLOMBIA). Thursday, February 24, 2022 (RPTV NEWS AGENCY). The Comptroller General of the Republic warned that to repair victims like José David Negrete, $65 billion is needed over the next 10 years.

According to the fiscal control body, the allocation of resources to the Conpes for reparation to victims is insufficient and it also warns about the delay in compensation and the failure to overcome the low coverage in land restitution. The victims who have agreed to a reparation measure do not exceed 13%.
According to the analyzes carried out by the Comptroller’s Office, Conpes 4120 for the National Policy of Attention and Comprehensive Reparation for Victims has an allocation of $142.1 billion, which “are insufficient and are not consistent with the universe of the victim population pending attention.”
“The victims who have agreed to a reparation measure do not exceed 13% and according to our calculations, more than $328.3 billion are required by June 2031 to execute 19 measures contemplated in the law. This means that a greater fiscal effort is required from now on in order to comply with the obligations established in the current regulations”, stressed the Delegate Comptroller for the Post-Conflict.
The results on the issue of land restitution are no less worrying: of more than 135,000 requests, just over 12,000 have been restituted with a ruling. Of that number of requests submitted, 24% (32,793) are in departments on the Caribbean Coast, with Bolívar and Cesar being the ones with the highest number of requests (each with 6%). They are followed by Magdalena (5%) and Córdoba (3%).
