A couple traveling in a vehicle with a 4-month-old baby on board was surprised by men on a motorcycle, who they fired indiscriminately against the vehicle.
The incident occurred in the Córdoba neighborhood, north of Medellin, around 6:50 in the morning, according to the Metropolitan Police of the Aburrá Valley.
After the shooting, the married couple received several gunshot wounds, the man received four shots and the woman three, both are alive and were taken to a hospital where they are being treated.
The baby, meanwhile, he was unharmed of the attack.
This was confirmed by Colonel José Galindo, operational commander of the Police, who indicated that the preliminary versions indicate that two subjects on a black motorcycle were the ones who committed the armed attack.

The injured managed to flee by their own means to a hospital.
“After the attack, there is a collision with a public transport vehicle (taxi), the wounded manage to flee by their own means to a care center. At this time they are being evaluated by the doctors,” said Colonel Galindo.
The uniformed officer added that once the authorities are aware of the attack, they carry out a “lock plan” around the area of the events, which allowed the location of the motorcycle used in the attack, which was left in the Moravia neighborhood.

The Police reported that it is deploying institutional and investigative capacities, using public and private cameras to find those responsible for the attack.
“We want to invite the community to provide us with information. Remember that there is a reward plan of up to 40 million to help clarify this fact,” said the colonel.
