BOGOTA COLOMBIA). Tuesday, February 15, 2022 (RPTV NEWS AGENCY). After EPS Coomeva was liquidated, more than 1.2 million affiliates still do not know where they should go to receive health services. Coomeva’s settlement agent, Felipe Negret, explained the procedure that the receiving EPS must follow.
“Make two distinctions, the services it provided and those it did not provide. Those who did not provide were part of the guardianships that we had for the inadequate provision of the service, these were delivered to the EPS that have the obligation to provide these services, “said Negret.
The liquidation process is under the supervision of the Comptroller General of the Republic, which seeks to protect the public resources managed by EPS Coomeva in liquidation.
“In the audit that we carried out in 2020, we found more than 7,000 million pesos in fiscal findings and for the year 2021 we found more than 17,000 million pesos,” said Lina María Aldana, Comptroller Delegate for the Health sector.
Coomeva users who want to change the EPS assigned by the Ministry of Health will be able to do so after 90 days.
