This Monday, February 21, 2022, the Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the pandemic in the country, which accounts for 2,910 new cases and 99 deaths.
In addition, it registered that 26,757 tests were processed (14,061 PCR and 12,676 antigens).

These figures continue to mark the trend of a decrease in cases of contagion in recent days. In fact, The Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, assured that Colombia, the fourth peak, is already declining in terms of cases“but surely only until the third week of March will we be reaching the minimum level.”

In the country, to date, 32,980,562 tests have been processed. Thus, Colombia reaches 6,049,952 cases of coronavirus confirmed since the pandemic began, in March 2020.
On the other hand, the report accounts for 99 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total death toll in Colombia amounts to 138,205.

In the last 24 hours, in addition, 4,813 recovered patients were reported. Thus, there are already 5,870,879 patients who have overcome covid-19 in the country to date.
In total, there are 19,553 cases that remain active in Colombia, a figure that is also going down.
How is the National Vaccination Plan going?
As for the progress of National Vaccination Planthe health authority reported that, with a cutoff at 11:59 pm on February 19, 76,120,209 doses of the covid-19 vaccine have been applied in the country. Of that figure, 36,064,517 correspond to the first dose; 27,102,178, second dose; 7,871,971, to booster doses, and 6,081,543 are from the single-dose vaccine.
