This Thursday, February 24, 2022, the The Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the pandemic in the country, which accounts for 2,249 new cases and 57 deaths.
In addition, it reported that 35,082 tests were processed (13,569 for PCR and 21,513 for antigens).

In the country, to date, 33,085,533 tests have been processed. Thus, Colombia reaches 6,056,556 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, in March 2020.

On the other hand, the report accounts for 57 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total death toll in Colombia amounts to 138,421.

In the last 24 hours, in addition, 3,375 recovered patients were reported. Thus, there are already 5,880,718 patients who have overcome covid-19 in the country to date.
In total, there are 15,938 cases that remain active in Colombia, a figure that is also going down, after the one reported this Wednesday that was 17,173.
How is the National Vaccination Plan going?
Regarding the progress of the National Vaccination Plan, the health authority reported that, with a cutoff at 11:59 pm on February 22, 76,557,520 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 have been applied in the country. Of that figure, 35,110,146 correspond to the first dose; 27,209,545, to second dose; 8,128,813, to booster doses, and 6,109,016 are from the single-dose vaccine.
