Farruko apologized for the lyrics of some of his songs

Puerto Rican singer Farruko apologized to his audience for the content of some of his song lyrics and proclaimed his religious conversion during a surprising sermon at a concert that sparked great controversy on social media.

“I didn’t know the message that I was saying in my songs (…) I’m not proud of that,” said the artist during his performance at the FTX Arena in Miami, which many Internet users have compared to “a mass.”

During his presentation, his musical hit “Pepas” was played, published in 2021, which talks about the consumption of prohibited substances to enjoy the night in clubs, but the artist did not sing the lyrics.

“God knows how many of his children I have hurt. And today I stand up like a man to tell them to forgive me as a human being because love begins with forgiveness, ”said the artist in a video that has been broadcast in some media.

The urban music singer also surprised his audience by making comments such as: “we are all sinners, the Bible says so” or that “God is good”, while confirming that his life has changed and he will focus on religious matters.

“Today I can say that God is dealing with me,” he declared to his thousands of fans.

As reported by those attending the show, some of his most faithful followers left the concert during his preaching, while others were puzzled by his decision.

“The only good thing about this Farruko concert was that I don’t have to go to church on Sunday,” commented a tweeter on social networks.

Carlos Efrén Reyes Rosado, better known as Farruko, is one of the most listened to artists within the urban genre, he has collaborated with the main exponents of urban music, including Daddy Yankee, and is now on tour with his latest album ‘La 167 ‘.

Despite the provocative lyrics of their songs and their lifestyle, most Puerto Rican urban music singers continually proclaim their deep belief in God.

His last presentation makes it clear that his musical style is most likely to change and therefore the artist, being aware of his situation, issued a statement to his fans.

“I am truly sorry that those who are going to see ‘Farru’ have time not to go and they can be reimbursed. Those who go and want a new experience of love are welcome, even if only 1 person goes, I will be there and I will love them the same whether they go or not. They are on time so that you do not waste your money and time on eternal life and harmony. I love you”, declared the singer in networks.
