The promoters of the recall of the mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero, announced that they will exert more pressure so that the process continues and citizens can go to the polls.
“If today, Wednesday, there is no response from the National Electoral Council, more precisely from the plenary chamber and its magistrates, regarding the approval of the accounting statements of the collection of signatures, we will proceed to hold a sit-in from 7:00 am at the main headquarters of the Registrar’s Office in the Bomboná Towers, next Friday, February 25,” said Andrés Felipe Rodríguez, one of the leaders of the recall.

“This is due to the obvious and unjustified delays in the process. In addition, surveillance and control regarding the improper use of public resources and pressure from public servants for the development of it, “said Ramos.
It should be remembered that the revocation process has been flooded with guardianships and the CNE has yet to review the accounting or the money invested for the collection of signatures that were made in the capital of Antioquia in 2021.
